The science
What is dry needling?
Dry needling is a specialised clinical technique where a fine, sterile filament needle is inserted directly into a trigger point — a tight, irritable band within a muscle. Unlike an injection, no liquid is involved. Hence “dry.”
The local twitch response
The needle creates a brief involuntary contraction — a hard reset for the nervous system. Tension drops immediately, blood flow improves, and the biochemical waste products causing your pain begin to clear.
The effect is immediate and measurable. Most patients notice a significant reduction in tightness within 24–48 hours, with full benefit typically felt after 2–3 sessions.
Common question
Dry needling vs. acupuncture
The needles look identical. The philosophy and intent are entirely different.

What we treat
Running performance
Runner’s knee, stubborn calf strains, and gluteal amnesia — the patterns that stall training blocks.
Respiratory mechanics
Releasing scalenes and intercostals to improve ribcage expansion and breathing efficiency.
Occupational tension
Chronic neck pain, tension headaches, and desk-posture shoulder impingement.
Acute sports injuries
Accelerating recovery from muscle tears by improving local circulation and reducing guarding.
